The More You Look Forward to Something, the More Disappointed You Will Be

pianodiscordian Rarely has an album title been so inaccurate. I always hoped there'd be a follow up to The Pushkins' magnificent Pumpkin Head album, and while it took 24 years for this to appear, there is not the slightest hint of disappointment. Absolutely and without reservation, one of my favourite albums of all time by one of the great 'lost' bands, not a single wasted moment to be found. Favorite track: Slinky Malone.

about

We recorded this for Jackass. I don't remember the date, I guess about '94. It never got released, I think Mark just ran out of money. This record has been lost for a long time, but just recently came back out of the dark night (thanks Ned).

Honest to God this is the title that we always intended. (it was the last line from an episode of Murun Buchstansangur)

It was recorded at Steve Mack's studio in London by John Wills (Loop, Hair & Skin Trading Co, Pumajaw). I was really thrilled to be working with John because I was (and am) a huge fan of Loop. We played with Hair & Skin just before this and afterwards were lucky enough to travel to Belgium with him and Pinky Maclure for a show there.

I have very little memory of the sessions, I don't know why we rerecorded Lotus Eater and Bond- I guess we weren't happy with the Single versions.
